The origins of building with stone go back millennia and working techniques were passed on through different generations working side by side. Today, the majority of skills for this work still have to be learnt on site...

Experience has been gained through sub-contracting to several reputable restoration/conservation companies over the last 10 years. These include RSW, Bath Stone group, Ellis & Co, Magenta and Minerva.

Work for private clients includes numerous repairs, restoration and new build work within the Avon valley. Larger projects have been undertaken in Crewkerne, the Mendips, and Timsbury, also near Ronda and Almeria in Spain.

SPECIALISING IN

• Repair, rebuild and conservation of old walls and buildings (experience in dealing with unstable structures)
• Internal/external pointing, stone repair
• Newbuild walls, terraces, patios, steps and other bespoke garden features

Using mainly lime based mortars, with machine and traditional tool techniques where appropriate, for working and dressing stone.

Also block laying for stone facing and concreting work for wall footings.
